Speech Language Pathologists
Improve articulation, fluency (stuttering), voice, and language impairments with measurable treatments designed to strengthen expressive communication through physical exercises, practice, audio/visual engagement, and sign language, when appropriate.
Occupational Therapist
Increase proficiency of everyday activities including fine motor skills, handwriting, and organization through treatment exercises and by creating adaptive environments at school and in the home.
Physical Therapists
Address areas of physical impairments impacting gross motor skills, mobility, balance, and coordination to improve sensori-motor function and promote safe participation in educational activities.
School Psychologists
Administer psychological and educational evaluations, tests, and assessments to understand and interpret students' learning and behavioral impediments, provide counseling, and develop positive behavioral intervention strategies.
Hearing Specialists
Identify students with hearing impairments, implement assistive devices and programs for hearing habilitation and the prevention of hearing loss, and provide translation and interpreting services when needed.
Social Workers
Provide social and/or developmental history of students and collaborate with student and family to address areas of the school, home, and community environment that inhibit adjustment to and progress within the school setting and provide counseling.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
BCBAs develop and oversee interventions that can be implemented by those that work with the students/clients in the learning environment to affect changes in behavior to help them learn and thrive.
Instructional Aide
Instructional paraprofessionals work under the direction of a certificated staff member to support and assist in providing instructional programs and services to students with disabilities. This support and assistance includes one-on-one or group review of material taught by certificated staff, classroom management and implementation of positive behavior support plans.
